  • Interlocking of each indoor unit with an outside air fan to coordinate operation
  • Integration of exhaust air systems, including Stoddart commercial rangehood extraction with make-up air

The Brief

The site required a flexible air conditioning system that could support multiple indoor unit types, backed by coordinated outside air and practical exhaust and make-up air arrangements.

Project Overview

MAPS completed HVAC works for BP Singleton, delivering a Daikin VRV solution configured to suit different areas of the site while integrating outside air interlocks and key exhaust systems.

The Solution

Daikin VRV System Installation: MAPS installed a Daikin VRV system serving a combination of ducted indoor units, a cassette unit, and a wall split unit to suit the application of each space.  Outside Air Fan Interlocks: Each indoor unit was interlocked with an outside air fan to ensure operation was coordinated as intended.  Exhaust and Make-Up Air Integration: The site included various exhaust air systems, including a Stoddart commercial rangehood, supported by make-up air.

Outcome

BP Singleton now has a Daikin VRV system in place that demonstrates how multiple indoor unit types can be delivered within one coordinated HVAC setup, supported by outside air interlocks and integrated exhaust systems.

Client Feedback

The VRV upgrade was well received, with positive feedback around the clean fit across different space needs, the straightforward operation of the mixed indoor unit setup, and the added confidence that comes from having outside air interlocks and kitchen exhaust and make-up air working as part of one coordinated outcome.
