Project Overview
MAPS supports Heidelberg Materials across a network of sites, covering both specialist plant and operational extraction requirements. This includes chiller plant support at the Osborne Park Lab and Duct Collector systems at key quarry and mine locations, alongside service support across additional sites.
The Solution
Specialist Chiller Plant Support: The chiller at the Osborne Park Lab uses a Temperzone outdoor unit paired with a custom-built evaporator and heat exchanger. MAPS rebuilt the evaporator to help maintain dependable operation of this unique system. Temperature Control for Lab Processes: The chiller is used to maintain a set temperature for a secondary refrigerant that is pumped through the site’s tank systems, supporting consistent conditions for lab sample quality. Duct Collector System Support: Duct Collectors at Red Hill Quarry and Gaskill Mine Site are included within MAPS’ service scope to support ongoing site requirements. Multi-Site Service Coverage: Additional sites supported include Byford Quarry and the East Perth Concrete Plant, with service and maintenance support provided as required.
Outcome
Heidelberg Materials has specialist plant support and multi-site coverage in place, helping keep critical temperature control and Duct Collector systems operating reliably for day-to-day conditions.
Client Feedback
The chiller support at the Osborne Park Lab was well received, particularly the careful rebuild work on the custom evaporator and heat exchanger. Across the other locations, the continued support for the Duct Collectors and related site needs has been appreciated for keeping day-to-day operation running smoothly.
